COVID-19 Update

Attridge Employee, Visitor and Contractor Daily Self Screening

Prior to working at any Attridge facility/vehicle, employees are required to passively check daily, meaning prior to their work shift or arrival for any symptom that may be related to COVID-19. Employees should follow the reporting protocol listed below.

Prior to visiting, this includes guests, contractors and trainees, you will be actively screened upon entry to the facility, for any symptom that may be related to Covid-19. This screening will be logged and any yes response will prohibit entry to the facility and you must immediately leave the premise.

Required Screening Questions:

  1. Do you have any of the following new or worsening symptoms or signs? Symptoms should not be chronic or related to other known causes or conditions.
  • fever or chills
  • cough
  • sore throat, trouble swallowing
  • runny nose/stuffy nose or nasal congestion
  • decrease or loss of smell or taste
  • nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain
  • not feeling well, extreme tiredness, sore muscles

Call 911 if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • severe difficulty breathing (struggling for each breath, can only speak in single words)
  • severe chest pain (constant tightness or crushing sensation)
  • feeling confused or unsure of where you are\
  • losing consciousness
  1. Have you travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?
  2. Have you had close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19?

Results of Screening Questions:

If you answered NO to all questions from 1 through 3, you may enter the workplace and/or report for duty.

If you answered YES to any questions from 1 through 3, you have not passed and you may not enter the workplace (including any outdoor, or partially outdoor, workplaces) and/or report for duty and are required to:

  1. Notify dispatch or your immediate supervisor that you are booking off and advise of the reason for the book off. Call dispatch or your supervisor and make sure the message is received. Do not just leave a voice mail. Try again during business hours.
  2. Go home to self-isolate immediately and contact your health care provider or Telehealth Ontario (1 866-797-0000) to find out if you need a COVID-19 test.
  3. You must stay home, not drive the bus or visit or work at any Attridge facility. You must self-isolate except for the visit to the Covid-19 assessment centre. Attridge does not pay for sick time off or booking off/self-isolation.
  4. You may return to work upon receipt of your negative COVID-19 test result. You will be required to show proof of the negative result.
  5. Positive COVID-19 result:
    • Attridge will notify the appropriate authorities that a driver has tested positive.
    • Follow all protocols of the local Public Health Unit.
  • You may return to work upon receipt of a negative COVID-19 test result. You will be required to show proof of the negative result.
  1. Understand that sharing medical information, positive or negative, can cause upset to our customers, schools and families. Restrict your communication(s) to Attridge.

Visitors or Contractors that detect any symptom that may be caused by COVID-19 are not to visit or work at any Attridge facility.

  • Instruct staff who have symptoms or think they were exposed to COVID-19, to notify their supervisor immediately, complete the self-assessment  and follow the instructions provided.
  • Follow Attridge protocol – Employee, Visitor and Contractor Passive Daily Self Screening.
  • Maintain physical distancing of at least 2 metres (6 feet) or more between persons, including

students, their parents, and co-workers. (see Physical Distancing)

  • Please follow the local Division physical distancing print and pictogram instructions.
  • Do not make an assumption – consider that every social interaction may involve an unintentional exposure to Covid-19.
  • Maintain physical distancing at all times. Should physical distancing be unavoidable; wear appropriate PPE including at a minimum a face mask. 
  • Bus drivers are required to wear a PPE at all times including on school property.
  • Bus drivers must require permission from Dispatch to enter a school building.
  • Staff are permitted to wear a clean reusable face mask in place of a disposable face mask. Reusable face masks must be washed, at a minimum, daily.

 

Canada.ca Cloth masks or face coverings should be changed and cleaned if they become damp or soiled. You can wash your cloth mask by:

  • putting it directly into the washing machine, using a hot cycle, and then dry thoroughly
    • washing it thoroughly by hand if a washing machine is not available, using soap and warm/hot water
    • allow it to dry completely before wearing it again

 

 

Visitors or Contractors that detect any symptom that may be caused by COVID-19 are not to visit or work at any Attridge facility.

 


Our number one priority here at Attridge is to provide a clean and safe environment for our Passengers, Staff and Drivers. We understand that each day comes with new changes and we want you to know we are following  all Municipal, Provincial, and Federal guidelines for Covid-19.

Each of our offices have been carefully redesigned with directional signage to manage traffic flow and maintain social distancing. Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the building and marked to make them easy to find.


We have outfitted our fleet with additional personal protective equipment, disinfectant stations and protocols in place to ensure the highest level of safety for our clients. Each vehicle is deep cleaned and disinfected on all areas and surfaces. Drivers have been trained on new safety measures and our facilities have been  updated to meet these guidelines.

PASSENGER SAFETY & CLEANING PRACTICES

      • Face coverings will be mandatory for all Passengers and Drivers.
      • Passenger partitions have been installed on each seat of the Motor Coach.
      • All Drivers are subject to Covid-19 screening before returning to work.
      • Driver will disembark on all stops to allow passengers to exit and disinfect hand rails and touch surfaces on the coach each time.
      • Sanitizer stations are set up at the front and rear of the coach.
      • Upon returning from each trip, the coach will receive a full service cleaning and disinfecting.
